The rooms were really comfortable and breakfast was delicious. The hosts were gracious, and this is such a beautiful, distinctive property. We wished we could stay longer. There’s also so much to see and do in Santarem!

The service was the best we've come across so far, from the welcome at the door to being shown to our room and the breakfast service. The breakfast selection was fabulous, and the decor is delightful. The building is an old castle that's been converted, and the location is amazing. This place is like heaven. You really have to stay here when you're in town, and one night isn't enough. Our only regret is that we stayed just one night.

Sergio was a great local host and knew a lot about the area. We had a wonderful stay in Santarem. Both the room and the house had lots of character and charm, along with all the modern amenities you'd expect. Breakfast was excellent, and we'd happily stay here again.

We were in the old town, yet the manor house was quiet and secluded, beautifully restored within Roman walls. The period decor is top class, and the huge beds were comfortable, with quality linen. Breakfasts were fantastic. The owners are caring, the staff are friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. They offer dinner too. This deserves every one of its five stars. You have to experience it to see how good it is!

It has an authentic feel and a bit of a twist, with great service and breakfast. The atmosphere feels like staying with family.
