The service was excellent, and they even arranged access to the spa and gym at Scape. The rooms felt quite old-fashioned, but the meals were really well prepared and tasted like proper Portuguese food.

KooK turned out to be a really nice experience, and I'm glad we asked about it. The front desk staff were welcoming, and breakfast was handled efficiently, with things topped up when needed. The room was clean and comfortable, though the bathroom felt a bit dated, mainly because of the shower fitting rather than how it looked. I'd rather see larger refillable bottles than individual soap and shower gel. We could hear the neighbors' alarm at 6:40am. I'd stay again if I were nearby.

I was here for four days and couldn't wait to leave. Hotel EMU isn't a good fit for a business trip, since the hotel has no facilities for that. There are shelves instead of wardrobes, and the bed was very uncomfortable with just one small pillow. I only ended up here because the proper hotels I tried to book were full. For a backpacker passing through, it might do, but I wouldn't choose it for a regular holiday or business stay. Avoid it if you can.

A good spot to unwind and finally get some proper sleep. It was clean and quiet, with plenty of hot water. The beds could use attention since they seemed a bit old, but breakfast was the highlight. After staying at five hotels that week, I found this one amazing: fresh, warm food and lovely cold juices.

The weather didn't cooperate, but we still had a pleasant stay. It's some way from the city centre, though at the price we paid it was the right choice. The staff were courteous and helpful, and the spaces were clean and thoughtfully designed.
