The best part was the location. The apartment sits on a lovely, lively square full of history and things to do. Just steps away are friendly cafés, restaurants with delicious food, traditional pastry shops, and small local businesses. It's a pleasure to explore during the day, then sit outside in the late afternoon and watch life go by. Even with all that around, the area is peaceful at night. Staying at Páteo do Mercado was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. It feels like a home with character, cared for down to the details, and we felt at home from the start. The rooms are spacious, bright, and tastefully decorated, each with a different theme inspired by local culture. The room we stayed in was charming. Everything was spotless, the bed was super comfortable, and the whole apartment was well equipped for groups or families. We'll definitely return. Santarém has a special place in our hearts, thanks in large part to the magical atmosphere at Páteo do Mercado.

We were welcomed so warmly that we immediately felt at home, and we'll definitely return. Páteo do Mercado is a real treasure in Santarém, with a fantastic location. Every room has its own charm, and you can feel the history and care in all the details.

The location is hard to beat. The apartment itself feels like a restored early 20th-century mansion, and it was kept in meticulous condition right down to the smallest details.

We spent last Christmas here and everything went smoothly. Rute gave us such a warm welcome and was always happy to help. The apartment is right in the heart of the city, with a lovely renovation and plenty of space. We’ll definitely stay here again whenever we come to Santarém.

The setting is central yet peaceful, and there’s a lovely outdoor area for relaxing together. We stayed at Páteo do Mercado with our children and had a perfect time. There was lots of room, the themed bedrooms were beautiful, and Rute made us feel genuinely welcome. We’ll be back!
