Hotel Vitoria

The breakfast was generous and nicely arranged. We also appreciated how calmly the hotel staff took our muddy bicycles. It's on a quiet residential street, and the lobby and rooms have recently been redone with a grain motif. Our double room was nicely furnished, with great towels and linens. The bathroom hasn't been updated, but the water pressure was strong and there was plenty of hot water, so it worked fine for us. The receptionist at check-in didn't speak English, though the morning staff did.

The room smelled bad and was noisy. It was very small and dark, and some of the equipment was broken. The booking photos didn't show this room. I wouldn't return or recommend it.

I've never had hotel service impress me as much as this one did. The older woman who looked after me was simply wonderful.

The design is stylish and well thought out, with a slightly corny feel to it. Since the area produces so much cereal, the hotel has worked that into its design. It was clean, too.
