The team were friendly and hospitable, and thoughtful little touches made the stay easy, like having the opening hours and addresses for nearby restaurants, bakeries, and markets. The place is beautiful, peaceful, and carefully designed. I was in Portugal for 12 days, with seven nights at a 5-Star hotel and four nights at a quinta, and chose Refugio de Quinta for that part of the trip. The property and surrounding area made for an immersive stay. I wish I could have spent longer there or extended my visit. If you’re thinking of staying one night or several days, expect plenty of special details and the magic of Refugio.

We’re visiting from Thailand and stayed one night. The owners are nice, and the room is really comfortable, with a full set of cooking utensils. It has more of a BNB feel. I’d recommend it to anyone tired of being cooped up in a small hotel room. This place is great.

The hosts were wonderful, and the property is beautiful. I really wish we’d booked more time. If we had, I’d bring my own coffee since the pods provided were a little weak, then spend the week relaxing on the bungalow porch. The bedroom was super comfortable, especially if you like a firm mattress. They’d thought of all the special touches, including ceiling fans, and the breakfast was divine.

We had fantastic hosts who made breakfast with local ingredients and took care of every detail during our stay. The hotel is new, with modern, well-equipped cottages in a park-like setting. Highly recommended.
