AlmaLusa Alfama

We stayed three nights in the Deluxe Suite, and the hotel was spotless, with appealing décor and friendly, attentive staff. Its Alfama location is ideal for a Lisbon city break. Breakfast was good and had a decent choice, though it could use another kind of jam and some unsalted butter. One thing really bothered us: people were selling drugs outside the restaurant in the evenings, right there while guests sat comfortably on the terrace. That's unacceptable and unpleasant to watch. Even so, we can highly recommend the hotel.

The harbour view from the room was nice, but the room itself was very small. The metro is close, and tourist spots are within a 15-minute walk. Getting an Uber or Bolt into the city was tricky because few drivers seemed willing to take the ride, so you may need to rely more on public transport.

The staff welcomed us warmly from the start and were attentive and always happy to help. This quaint hotel was exceptionally clean and in a great spot for exploring. Rooms are small, as you'd expect in a historic building, but ours was comfortable and thoughtfully laid out. Breakfast was fresh and flavorful in a cozy setting, a lovely way to start each day. A good choice if you want character and a genuinely hospitable stay.

The location was perfect, and the hotel felt small and cozy while still being extremely clean. Reception and the concierge were incredibly attentive, sorted our reservations promptly and gave us great recommendations. We had an amazing stay and will definitely be back.
