I booked at the last minute for Afro Nation, and the hotel was about 40 minutes from the venue. It was a decent option and gave me my own space, which was better than a hostel. The room had a balcony with a nice view, plugs, air conditioning, a TV, desks and wardrobe space. My towels were changed every morning, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The town is quiet, with McDonald's and plenty of other shops.

Loulé is right nearby, so the location made it easy to get what I needed. The hotel was cosy and comfortable without costing too much. Everyone was welcoming and helpful, and the cleaners came each day with a smile. Thanks for a pleasant stay, I'd be happy to come back.

The room wasn't ready when we arrived: the beds were unmade and the clean sheets had been left damp on top. The receptionist tried to help once we raised it, but the way the room had been prepared was still appalling. Then at 9 a.m. the cleaner opened our locked door and woke us. The whole thing was shocking, and I won't return.

Terrible. The rooms were among the worst I've stayed in, and the Wi-Fi might as well not exist. We went at least three days without cleaning service, and had to ask reception just to get the towels changed. I definitely won't stay here again.

The sound insulation was very poor, and both the furniture in the room and the bathroom felt very old. The bathroom wasn't pleasant either. For the price, I think breakfast should have been included.
