The rooms were cozy and all had their own character, reflecting what the property used to be. Beds were comfortable, breakfast was delicious, and the cats around the property were adorable. Our guests were blown away by the gin selection, atmosphere, and service, and so were we. We rented Solar Branco for a week with family and friends for our wedding, and the staff made the whole experience feel easy and relaxed. Caroline, Ricardo, Lemon, Ruben, Nelia, Marcio, and Micaela were warm, welcoming, thoughtful, and attentive without being intrusive. Their care and passion showed in every detail. The gin library staff were just as friendly and accommodating as the day-to-day team. It was the perfect size for our week with our closest family and friends, and the Solar Branco team made it unforgettable. We’re so grateful and highly recommend it. This was our third time here, and we can't wait to return.

We really recommend Solar Branco and will come back ❤️ The Ruin was amazing, with a huge window that looked like a painting, framing lovely countryside and sea views. We spent our honeymoon in Azores and stayed at several hotels, but enjoyed this one the most. Breakfast was delicious, especially the cakes and pastries, and the staff were kind. Our afternoon Gin&Tonic at the Gin Library was the highlight. We loved chatting with Lemon and Ricardo, and spending time with Gina, Tony, and Snowball. Tony even tried to steal some chips! There was also Rúben, a great "receptionist" 😜 They said he gets too much attention in reviews, so we're mentioning him last 😉

The local, flavorful breakfast was lovely, and everyone on the team seemed to enjoy working there. Ruben, Lemon, Ricardo, Ali, Caroline, and the rest of the staff made the stay fun. After a great Sushi dinner by Joana, we made friends with some other guests and met up again the next evening for gin and a nice sunset at the gin bar. The hotel has cats, and I have a mild cat allergy, but they stay outdoors and roam freely, so it wasn't an issue at all. This was the best hotel experience I've ever had. A beautiful place with really lovely people. I'd recommend it, especially if you enjoy gin, cats, and good company.

We picked Solar Branco after weeks of research, drawn by its sustainability values, welcoming rooms, and central spot in the middle of the island. After our overnight flight, Reuben greeted us, showed us around, and checked us in early since our room was ready. Each morning we had a delicious breakfast, and the room had everything we needed, even local beer and oat milk. Everyone working there was warm and welcoming. Thanks for making our first trip to the Azores such a positive one. We'll definitely be back!

The rooms were spacious, spotless, comfortable, and stylish, with staff who were always helpful and friendly, offering local tips and gin recommendations. Breakfast was a highlight too. Much of the food was grown on the property, and it was fresh, tasty, and beautifully prepared. The gin library is one of a kind, with an impressive selection, including phenomenal house gins. The owners' passion showed in everything, from the room design to the gin and sushi experiences. Joanna, the sushi chef, is the best! Ali and Caroline were warm and welcoming, and Catarina, Ruben, and Ricardo were exceptional. Catarina also designed the house gin labels, she's very talented. I didn't want to leave. It felt both pampering and homey, and I'm already thinking about returning with one of the house-made gins I brought home.
