We were five in the family and stayed in Vila 1. It was modern and clean, and even the sofa bed was comfortable. The kids loved the pool, and the hot tub was a nice bonus. Vilas do Olival is centrally located on the island, which made it easy to get around. There’s a housekeeper on site during the day, and Diogo, the manager, gets in touch before arrival and is available during the stay if you need anything. We had a great time and would definitely recommend it.

We had a very bad experience after TAP Portugal cancelled our flights, so we couldn’t fly to Sao Miguel. Booking said it could change the cancellation policy if the hotel agreed, but the hotel refused and said it wasn’t their fault. We asked whether we could move the trip to different dates so we wouldn’t lose the reservation, but they said that went against hotel policy and there was no option besides losing the whole booking. Very disappointing. It felt like they cared about the money and not the people.

Madame Angelina deserves special thanks. She was the best property manager or administrator I’ve ever met, kind, discreet, respectful, helpful, and willing to accommodate any request. We stayed in vila #3 and loved the location, facilities, privacy, peaceful nights, and atmosphere. It was an amazing stay, and I’ll definitely book again when I return to the island.

Check-in and check-out were super quick and easy. We felt at home, and the place was clean, comfortable, and quiet, with a great location. Had an incredible experience at Vilas do Olival, can’t say enough good things!
