Three House Hotel

Margarida, Sid, and Miguel made us feel especially welcome. They left fresh croissants each morning and even surprised my wife with sparkling wine and a personal birthday note. Such a thoughtful touch. The hotel is right in the city center, with free parking in the building. Our room was spotless and had everything we needed, and the rooftop terrace has a beautiful panoramic view. The service felt personal and attentive from the start. We really loved our stay and would highly recommend it.

Those Friday pinchos on the hotel rooftop were so delicious, definitely worth trying! We had a lovely four-night stay in our three-house home, and we’ll definitely return. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome. Our host showed us around the hotel and apartment, then shared great tips for restaurants, walks, and other things to know for enjoying Madeira. We could reach them on WhatsApp whenever we needed anything, which was really convenient. Thanks for making our stay so wonderful!

We were very happy with our stay at Three House Hotel in mid-March ‘26. The location worked perfectly for us, about a two-minute walk from the famous fish market and lots of restaurants, and roughly five minutes from the cable car station. There’s also a well-regarded restaurant on site, where reservations are essential, and a rooftop cocktail bar with live music and DJ sets four to five days a week. Guests have their own solarium up there with awesome views and good wind protection, as well as a small heated outdoor pool. The hotel is fairly small, but there are several room types. We had a one-bedroom apartment with a sitting room, kitchen, and bathroom. All the rooms are on the fifth floor beside busy Rua Brigadeiro Oudinot, but traffic noise didn’t bother us at all and we slept fine. The kitchen had SMEG appliances throughout, and housekeeping came every day. Fresh croissants delivered to the door each morning were a lovely start to the day. The service felt very personal, and the front desk staff took a genuine interest in helping with whatever we needed. We could tell from our first email contact that it was going to be a good stay. We thoroughly enjoyed Three House and would happily recommend it.

The rooms were really clean, which matters a lot to me, and the shower was amazing. I also slept very well in one of the most comfortable beds I’ve had. We first had a room looking over the city, then switched to a larger one with a kitchen and a sea view. We were in Madeira for our honeymoon, and Márcio gave us the most pleasant service throughout the stay. The hotel’s location was amazing, and guests have free parking. There isn’t breakfast, but you get a croissant in the morning, and the room has fruit, coffee, and tea.
