Pestana Royal All Inclusive Ocean & Spa Resort

I had a very pleasant stay and left with nothing but positive impressions. Whenever I needed anything, the staff were kind, attentive, and ready to help. I especially want to thank hotel manager Karina Mejias for her understanding, care, and personal attention to my needs. She went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. I’d happily choose this hotel again.

I’m already looking forward to seeing everyone at team Pestana Royal again next year after a wonderful second stay. The bedroom was large, beautiful and quiet, and the big bed suited me well since I like a firm mattress. There was a wide choice of food in the restaurant. I especially liked that they put out whole blocks of butter instead of individual portions in plastic. A pianist or guitarist played every morning during breakfast. Lina in housekeeping worked so hard and always greeted us with a smile and a good morning. The cleaning, maintenance and housekeeping team worked behind the scenes to keep everything tidy, clean, and in excellent repair. Reception and restaurant staff were amazing too. Rosan even remembered us from our last visit two years ago. Thank you! ❤

We really enjoyed the holiday. Our all-inclusive meals were plentiful, with a good selection, and the waiters were quick to top up our glasses. There was a good entertainment programme, and the hotel ran a handy free shuttle to Funchal twice a day. Our spacious room had a balcony, a small fridge and microwave, and views of the sea and garden. From the hotel, a lift goes down to the beach. Weather permitting, the pleasant promenade walks to Funchal and Câmara de Lobos each take around an hour. The bathroom was a little dated, and the spa sauna wasn’t very warm.

We had a great stay and would gladly come back. The hotel was clean and comfortable, with a lovely atmosphere. It’s in a beautiful residential area, with great views and easy access to Funchal and other parts of Madeira. The staff were friendly and helpful the whole time. Special thanks to Marlene at reception for being so kind and helping us with everything. We’d definitely recommend the hotel.
