Casas da Fontanheira

Everything was just right during an incredible stay. The place was fully equipped, communication was excellent, and the location felt like a dream, with beautiful surroundings for enjoying nature.

This house was newly built on a spot where there used to be a small building, and fields surround it. It’s a lovely place to rest with nature all around. There’s everything needed for simple meals, plus a separate outdoor area that gives you privacy. The saltwater pool is shared by the two adjoining apartments and is a decent size. Fresh bread is provided each morning for breakfast. There isn’t much variety, but it’s enough to leave you almost ready for lunch. I’d happily return.

We wanted two days away in nature with plenty of comfort, and that’s exactly what we got. The house in the mountains was wonderful for a family weekend, and you can tell it was built with care and attention to detail. Warm bread was waiting for us at breakfast each morning. Thanks, Ana, for all the kindness. So comfortable up in the Serra. I’d come back again and again. ❤️

The house is spacious, stylish, and beautiful in its mountain setting. It’s a great place for a quiet break, though it takes a 10-15 minute drive to get anywhere else, so you’ll probably want breakfast and perhaps dinner there too. The kitchen is well equipped with an oven, refrigerator, microwave, and all the cookware you need. A fireplace makes it cozy when it’s cold. The owner was very friendly and brought us bread and croissants in the morning. One thing to watch is the upstairs sleeping area: the stairs have no handrail, and the tall decorative railings between floors could be risky for children, though older kids should be fine. Aside from that, we found it very pleasant and spacious. A great quiet option in the area, highly recommended.
