Alojamentos Estrela Peles

The location is good, and the house has plenty of rooms of a decent size, each with its own bathroom. There are two kitchens with fireplaces, and central heating throughout, though it didn’t seem sufficient, probably because the windows are poor quality. The place has potential, but needs more experience, humility, and investment. The kitchen equipment is lacking: no oven, toaster, or coffee machine, among other less essential things. The windows have single rather than double glazing, the finishes are poor, and the shower fittings in the bathrooms were in bad shape. There wasn’t enough firewood either. The hosts weren’t very friendly or humble when receiving criticism. The price isn’t very high, but feels excessive given these drawbacks. Taken together, they leave me with no desire to return.
