The property is still a pleasant place to stay and a useful base for exploring the region, but this visit didn’t feel as professional as we expected. We’d stayed at Casas do Pastor in 2020 and had such a good experience that we came back for two nights. This time, several things fell short: the shower pressure and hot water were unreliable, the hairdryer kept cutting out while we used it, and the original pillow was uncomfortable. They did replace the pillow promptly when we asked. The hot water problem was the biggest disappointment. When we reported it, there didn’t seem to be much effort to sort it out, and the blame was put on a third-party gas supplier. With the property’s very high ratings and our previous stay in mind, this visit didn’t meet our expectations.

We just love it here. With the beautiful setting, good location, and friendly dogs all around, this is our favorite place in Serra de Estrela.

The houses, scenery, and views were all amazing. We had a blast staying here with our whole production crew and our dog. Thanks again from everyone at BKYD Team. If you’re looking for a place to stay in this area, this is the one.

We spent December 2020 here and loved how peaceful and close to nature it felt. It’s pet-friendly, and the cabin balcony looked out over the city and the surrounding mountains. My boyfriend even used that view to propose, so this place is tied to a very special memory for us. There’s also a romantic restaurant a short walk uphill, with exquisite food. The owner was such a friendly, lovely host. It was a wonderful spot for a romantic getaway, and we’ll definitely come back. Five stars don’t really cover how much we love it.

The owners and staff were so friendly, and the views and surroundings are amazing. It’s easy to get to Seia and the mountains, too. Our cosy apartment had everything we needed, including a fireplace that warmed the place, with wood supplied each day. I can’t recommend staying here enough.
