Casa Da Muralha

Cristina looked after us so kindly and was a real delight to deal with. We especially enjoyed the garden, a lovely place to sit, and the excellent breakfast with local produce. It's a great base for visiting Serpa, inside the walls and within easy walking distance of the town square, cafés, and restaurants.

Cristiana is always so friendly and available when she welcomes us. The breakfast is one of my favorite parts: Alentejo bread, Serpa requeijão, fresh orange juice, queijadas, homemade jam, cheese, and other treats. You arrange the serving time the day before. I've stayed at Casa da Muralha twice because I loved the experience. It's in a central, historic part of Serpa, beside the wall and next to the town's main gate. The place is rustic and welcoming, with a lovely flower-filled patio that makes you feel right in the heart of Alentejo. I'd happily stay again.

The staff were so attentive, even with the children, and the place felt warm and welcoming. Our room and bathroom were spacious and clean, with large comfortable beds. The bathroom had all the amenities we needed, and the shower was great, with hot water. The location is excellent. It's worth eating at the local restaurant, too, for regional wines and excellent dishes. I highly recommend it and will definitely return.

Cristiana was wonderfully welcoming and seemed to do a bit of everything as our host. The place has an authentic rustic feel and a very pleasant simplicity. We felt right at home. The location is fantastic, and it was a great place to recharge. We'll be back.
