The café has an extremely unfriendly staff member, and photography isn't allowed. The ticket also gets you into Palácio Monterrey. The collection of small Art Deco and Art Nouveau pieces is fairly broad, while the paintings are few but interesting.

I visited years ago and still look back on it fondly. The house is beautiful, the setting is stunning, and the hosts were wonderful, polite, friendly and always ready to help. What an impressive place.
