O Pátio

The quiet surroundings made it easy to relax, and the bed was especially comfortable. Our room had everything we needed in the kitchen and was spotlessly clean. The property itself is beautiful, and the room exceeded our expectations. Edite was so friendly and accommodating, and made us feel welcome. We had a wonderful stay at O'Patio and wholeheartedly recommend it for a peaceful getaway.

It was fine for a short stay, but the pet-friendly claim comes with a very particular standard: apparently, only silent, perfectly trained dogs are welcome. Dogs in the neighborhood barked all night, and the air conditioning buzzed constantly. Our dog stayed quiet all night, but was treated as a problem for barking in the morning and growling inside the apartment while protecting the owners’ belongings.

The hosts were so welcoming, and even their lovely dog added to the stay. The accommodation was first class, clean, and comfortable, all in a beautiful setting. We’d happily recommend it and hope to come back someday.

We found the staff very nice, and the place was clean and inexpensive for a few nights. Both beds were comfortable, though the showers are extremely small. We had to switch rooms because our first one was already reserved, and we were only staying three nights. It’s handy for getting around: about 30 minutes north to Lisboa, 30-45 minutes south or west to the coast, and 10 minutes from the highway. Breakfast is included, but you have to go to a pastelaria five minutes away. It was OK there, and the discount covered only about €3 of the bill.
