Hotel Veleiro

We found the staff welcoming and very helpful, especially Otilia. There's an elevator, despite what some reviews say. The room was comfortable, with heating and air conditioning, an extra bathroom heater, and plenty of outlets, including by the nightstands. Breakfast was simple but filling, with scrambled eggs and bacon, breads, meat and cheese, fruit, cereals, and more. The boutique hotel has wonderful harbor and sea views, especially from the rooftop terrace, though it was a bit chilly up there in April. Parking can be difficult on the narrow streets, but that's part of the charm of this small fishing village.

The hotel is clean, modern, and in a great part of town. Breakfast is simple but good, and they let us use the microwave. The room isn't very big, but it was enough for us. There are also free bicycles to borrow. Sines feels authentic and not too touristy, though I can't say it's especially charming.

Breakfast had everything we needed, and parking was free at the castle car park, just a short walk away. The hotel feels like a cosy little gem. Paying extra for an ocean-view room was worth it, the view is spectacular. Highly recommend.

The rooms were very clean, the staff were kind, and breakfast was good. After two weeks, though, it started to feel repetitive. From a sea-view room you can hear the waves, which is lovely, but there’s no fridge in the room, so you can’t keep a beer cold to enjoy on the balcony.
