Hospedaria Cafe Pielas

We’re over 60 and have some minor difficulty walking, but still covered more than five miles a day. This hotel is good value for Sintra. It’s about 300 metres from Sintra Station, where you can catch the 434 and 435 circuit buses, so it’s a little way from central Sintra. Our room was large, comfortable, and very clean. There are nice restaurants a short walk to the north.

I stayed just one night so I could catch an early public bus around Sintra. The 435 bus stop is an eight-minute walk away, and the room was spotless with a very comfortable bed. There’s a wonderful cafe downstairs for breakfast, they recommended a great dinner restaurant, and helped me find free parking nearby. It’s the cleanest place you could imagine in a perfect location. Highly recommend!

The owner and staff were so kind and accommodating, and made our stay feel special. My husband and I got ready here for our wedding elopement, and the hotel couldn’t have suited the occasion better. Our room had high ceilings, a lovely window full of natural light, and much more space than other hotels we’ve seen in Sintra. The decor looked perfect in our getting-ready photos. Downstairs there’s a super cute cafe with the best pastries I’ve ever had. The location is perfect too, close to shopping and tourist attractions. We’ll absolutely come back. It was hands down my best hotel experience!

We enjoyed this small, cozy guesthouse. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable, and the hosts were really friendly. We did miss having a fridge in the room, and the door let in every sound from the hall, so we could hear whenever someone came in. By the way, the cafe’s fish croquets are very good :)
