Quinta da Maquia Hotel

The hotel has charging stations for electric cars, which is really convenient. The rooms are roomy, with details that feel carefully chosen and designed. It all made for a comfortable, elegant stay.

We stayed on Feb 7th 2026. The weather was miserable, but we still had a wonderful time because the hotel and restaurant were excellent. It’s new and seems to be sorting out a few things, since the WiFi and TV weren’t working. Even so, I highly recommend it.

The infinity pool and sunbathing spot were gorgeous, with lovely views and a really peaceful feel. The location was idyllic too. We stayed four nights during the soft opening, and from the first minute the thoughtful welcome set the tone, a refreshing drink and a nicely arranged bowl of fruit. Our room was immaculate and elegant, and each evening there was turndown service with a little chocolate that made us smile. The staff were warm, attentive, and clearly cared about making every moment special. We couldn’t fault anything. A gem for a relaxing, indulgent getaway, and we’re already thinking about coming back.

It’s easy to get an Uber to Sintra’s main sights, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby, though the hotel is a bit far from the center if you’re walking. The place is new and shiny, with a high quality look, and the service is excellent. Breakfast was good too. The rooms look stylish, but the design feels a bit overdone at the cost of comfort. The bathroom and toilet are split up behind frosted glass, so privacy isn’t great, and having the sink in the room feels awkward. The rooms are also close to the entrance gate, but entry is only through reception farther down. Still, it’s definitely a good option for staying in Sintra.
