Quinta da Moita Agroturismo

The owner was incredibly warm and friendly, and the house and rooms were spotless. It's such a beautiful place, tucked away among stunning vineyards in the middle of nowhere. Everything was more than comfortable, and I'd come back any time. Thanks for having us!

I don't see why this place has so many good reviews. I've visited the Douro region several times, and at the same price I can think of at least ten better places. Our apartment was a mess overall: broken or unreliable light switches, furniture that needed maintenance, and a broken toilet float. One shower stayed at a boiling temperature, with no way to adjust it because the temperature control was broken. The towels weren't fully clean either, with old stains still on them. When we asked why nobody had told us about these problems, staff said they hadn't had enough time to check everything, but they knew about the issues. Why let us book it, then? I got the impression that wine production is the priority and they don't really care about the apartments' condition since that's not their main business.

The wine tasting was great, and breakfast was delicious. This charming little Quinta was fresh, beautiful, and so relaxing. The staff really made our stay, they were friendly, helpful, and lovely. I'd definitely recommend it for a visit to the Douro region.

The rooms are cozy, but they don't block sunlight very well. The food was very good, especially the delicious orange juice and red cake. Staff were really friendly and caring, and deserve some extra appreciation for their work. The location is beautiful, and there are a few events from time to time.
