Casa Vale Del Rei

The house is lovely, and we especially liked the decor, our spacious room and the pool area. The owners were very nice to us and to our son, and we enjoyed our conversations with them. They also gave us great suggestions for nearby restaurants and beaches, which are only a short drive away. We’d definitely return.

I’ve never met a host this rude. The things she said to me, my two beautiful Asian daughters and my future son-in-law were deeply upsetting and racist. Her inappropriate behaviour sickened me, and I honestly think she needs counselling. In my whole life I’ve not met such a sad, rude so-called host. There are plenty of pleasant places with polite hosts, and this one deserves no paying guests. I would never go back, even if it were free.

We loved the fresh fruit picked by the hosts from the orchard, and there’s a pool for relaxing away from the beach. The farmhouse sits in a beautiful orchard, so it’s quiet and cool at night. Rooms are very clean and well kept, each with A/C and a small safe. The hosts are lovely and make a tasty, generous breakfast. A real gem in the countryside, and the best place to stay in Tavira, no doubt.

We only ended up here because the other hotel we’d booked was overbooked, but we’re so glad that happened. We found a little piece of heaven. The owners’ passion and love for hospitality come through in the hotel, and the couple themselves were one of a kind. I profoundly recommend staying here if you’re in Tavira.
