A clean, quiet, well-kept complex with secure access and a good pool. It sits on the edge of the village, close to the end of the boardwalk. People of all nationalities stay here, which makes it fun. I’d recommend it especially for mature couples, though it’s just as good for families.

The area felt really safe for families. Our stay was quiet, and the apartments were beautiful with a lovely pool.

I’ve stayed at Cabanas Gardens many times. The location is great, and even in the busy season the pool never felt too crowded. Room condition varies: some are nice, while others are quite worn and need updating. I’d expect a place rented from an individual Airbnb host to be lovely, but units managed by groups looking after several apartments can be very tired and have lots of faults.

Rio Formosa is only 300 m away, and the place has a nice pool. Whether there’s actually water in the pool, or whether the construction site is loud and messy, seems to depend on luck.

For €55 for two nights, it’s decent value if you’re after something cheap and cheerful. The apartment was okay, though there were gaps in the upstairs floor and one socket we didn’t feel like using. The oven’s grill and fan didn’t work either.
