There were plenty of little corners around the charming, beautifully kept grounds where we could eat, drink, and chat in the garden. Our rooms were lovely, clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The owners went out of their way to meet our needs, and the service was so friendly and helpful. We had a truly amazing time at this little paradise and would come back again and again. It’s a rare gem.

We were warmly welcomed and given lots of useful information. The property is beautifully situated about a ten-minute walk from the centre of Tavira, and it feels like good value. It seems to be a hotel with separate apartments or rooms, many with small kitchens and an outdoor space such as a patio, shared garden, or private terrace. Dogs are welcome, with no pet charges.

The owner was a delight and clearly passionate about running this family home, which has been in the family for several generations. We’ve just come back from five nights at Quinta do Caracol. It’s a quiet little haven, yet still within walking distance of Tavira centre. The rooms are large and well equipped, though the bed was acceptable rather than especially comfortable. The gardens are beautiful and relaxing. The pool is small, but just right for a quick dip at the end of the day, and there are plenty of comfortable deck chairs. Breakfast was very good.

After long days exploring Tavira and the surrounding area, we really enjoyed unwinding in the pool. The hotel is a group of renovated old farm buildings set in a beautiful garden. The staff were very nice, and breakfast was really good. We had an amazing stay and definitely recommend it.

After pickleball, we’d sit at the big table beneath the shady trees. The garden is lovely, the service friendly, and there’s a lovely little pool. We never stayed overnight, so I can’t speak to the accommodation.
