The owners were friendly, polite and attentive while still giving us space. It’s peaceful here, quiet and very well maintained, with a pool that’s large enough and a lovely sea view from the first-floor apartment. A charming stay, and we’d happily come back. Booking directly rather than through a platform is an advantage.

We enjoyed how quiet it was outside the city, as well as the pool. Our second-floor room had a balcony and a great view, with the ocean in the distance. The property is beautiful and the host was very friendly and helpful. It’s a couple of minutes’ drive to the old town, where parking is easy and free. There’s an A Pingo grocery store along the way for anything you need.

The little orchard was a highlight for me, the oranges were the juiciest I’ve had in the Algarve. This owner-run place has nine self-contained apartments, a welcoming grand foyer, landscaped grounds, warm rooms and clean well water. There’s a children’s play pool, an adult pool and secure parking for ten cars. Andrea Claire and Narinder are gracious, genuine hosts, and Tavira centre is seven minutes away. I’d say book, book, book.

We spent five days in a lovely first-floor apartment, with views over the fields to the sea on the horizon. It felt peaceful and relaxing, and we even had the pool to ourselves for a dip after a few hot hours in the sun. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we picked delicious fresh oranges and lemons each day. There’s also a barbecue in the beautiful garden if you’d like to use it. Narinder and Andrea were helpful, available when we needed support, and had great suggestions for places to visit. They’ve made the place feel personal and homely. I’d definitely recommend Tavira Vacations Apartments for a quiet getaway.
