Carolyn cooked us a meal on our last night, exactly the sort of thing we’d been craving for ages. It was delicious, almost as if she’d read our minds. During our two and a half weeks in Portugal, we didn’t find anywhere better, which says a lot about this special place. We can’t wait to come back next year. This B&B is exceptionally welcoming. After a long day of travel, we felt comfortable right away. The rooms are beautiful and have everything you need. You can also pay for laundry, drinks or an evening meal, which is handy since there’s really only one local restaurant within walking distance.

Carolyn hosts spa days where you can use the pool, enjoy an amazing vegan lunch and get spa treatments. I stayed overnight this time to feel like I was on vacation, and had the most wonderful breakfast. The hosts are perfect, and the food is incredible. If you don’t have a car, it’s by the train line. I highly recommend the place. There are hiking trails and river beaches nearby, and beautiful Tomar is just a 15-minute drive away.

The vegan breakfast is delicious, and Carolyn and John are friendly, helpful hosts. It’s a quiet, pleasant place to rest, with nature activities close by. Tomar is only a 15-minute drive, and Fátima is about 20 minutes away.

Carolyn and John made us feel welcome and provided clean, friendly accommodation. The hillsides in Portugal are beautiful, and the food was fabulous. Truly one of our best holiday experiences.

The countryside around the house really invites you to slow down, and the place itself is so welcoming and clean. John and Carolyn are lovely, warm and helpful. They gave us good recommendations for places and restaurants in Tomar, and their positive energy made us feel right at home. Breakfast was great too. It’s perfect if you like an active kind of rest, especially cycling up and down the hills through beautiful scenery. 😀
