Horta dos Cedros is a peaceful little oasis in the woods, yet only a five-minute walk from the city of Tomar. One morning my husband and I went the other way along a country road and found a pretty waterfall, a lovely bit of nature so close to town. The little house was perfect in almost every way, and we’d definitely recommend staying here. We would have liked a coffee table by the couch and more hooks for towels and robes, since places never seem to have enough of those. Rita was lovely and took care of everything without hovering. She left plenty of breakfast food for us to prepare ourselves, which we much preferred to eating in a room full of strangers. Thanks, Rita!

We should’ve stayed longer. The Tree House was our favorite place to stay on our Portugal trip: beautiful design, very clean, peaceful, and an easy short walk into town. The price was very reasonable, and breakfast was fabulous and included. It was lovely to meet Rita when we arrived, and we felt at home straight away. We also loved spending time with the sweet dogs, since we missed our own back home. I can’t think of a thing that needs improving.

We were just passing through and wished we could have stayed longer. Horta dod Cedros is in a quiet area, about a 15-minute walk from the center. The apartments are comfortable, with a swimming pool and free parking on the property. Breakfast was very good, and Rita is kind and friendly.

We stayed in Casa da Árvore and had a private spot out back to relax and play with the dogs. The house has everything you could need, including a huge comfy bed and a stunning view of the convent and castle. The host is lovely. We definitely recommend this place.

The team was very unprofessional and communication was poor. They confirmed my booking, then cancelled it the same day, leaving me without anywhere to stay at the last minute. I’d avoid this place at all costs.
