Patricia, Bianca, and the events team made everything run smoothly. The whole process felt seamless because they were so organized, kind, and quick to respond. They took care of every detail and were a pleasure to work with. A fantastic place for an event.

The room had no minibar, and the pool bar never opened, so there was nowhere to get drinks or snacks by the pool. The jacuzzi was closed on two days of our stay. When we asked to have its cover removed, we were told it wasn’t possible. Dining was another major problem. The lunch restaurant had a short, expensive menu that never changed, and there was only one option for lunch service. Even though six of us were eating, we were given no more than two menus. More than once, we had to get up and find the waiting staff to place an order or pay. Bar service was awful too: one bartender was serving around 40 people, and we waited 20 minutes to be served. Our food took almost an hour to arrive. We asked for a baby portion of vegetable soup and were flatly refused. We were told to “take it or leave it” and had to pay full price for a full portion. On another occasion, an avocado and a banana for our baby cost €6, which was extortionate. On arrival, nobody showed us around or explained where anything was. Corporate bookings seemed to take priority, and the hotel didn’t feel set up for leisure guests. When we complained to management, we felt ignored. The stay fell well below what we expected from an advertised five-star hotel.

My room was spacious and comfortable, and the hotel was very well maintained. The pillows were a little too soft for me, though. I was there for a business event, and the hotel is well suited to that, while also offering a relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff, good pools, and top-notch spa services. The restaurant food was excellent, beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Apart from the pillows, everything was perfect during my stay.

The indoor pool felt so-so this time. It was small and crowded with kids during carnaval. This was my second visit, though, and it’s a very nice place with a very good breakfast.
