The room was cozy and comfortable, and breakfast was a lovely introduction to local food. I was traveling alone as an American, and Ana's friendliness and hospitality made it much easier to feel at home. She was also very direct with her advice, which I really appreciated. Her family and the dogs were lovely to meet as well. 10/10

We had dinner at the hotel, with cod and potatoes cooked the traditional way, and it was very tasty. Breakfast in the cozy dining room had plenty to choose from, including lots of local products, and everything tasted very good. Our rooms were clean, tidy and cozy, and we could bring our dog at no extra cost. Ana and her family were so hospitable and helpful. If you're looking for an authentic Portuguese family hotel, I highly recommend Villa Silene. Thanks for a pleasant stay.

This was my second stay, and the rooms are especially spacious. The buffet is well stocked, which is much appreciated when you're on a journey. Breakfast was delicious, the service excellent, and the food really superb overall. Everything was quite good.

There's plenty of space, with a tennis court, a pool and lots of animals, and pets are allowed too. The host and chef are both five stars. The menu is small, but the dishes are local and tasty. Rooms are small but comfortable, with A/C, and the bed is okay.

From the road, you can't really see how beautiful and simple this magical place is. Once through the gates, the hospitality and authenticity of the Serra come through. It's cozy, small and very picturesque. Pet friendly, a paradise for kids, and the local dishes at dinner were amazing. I'd recommend it and will return.
