The location made it so easy to explore, just minutes from the main Gerês parks, waterfalls, and hiking trails. Each morning a fresh continental breakfast was brought to my door, beautifully prepared and a lovely way to start the day. I spent four days at Villa Pombar, and the staff made it one of my most welcoming stays in Portugal. They were kind and always ready to help, present without hovering. A wonderful visit. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Armando and Bernandino made sure we had a memorable stay, and there were plenty of activities to choose from. The property was clean and well equipped. It's in a great spot by the river, surrounded by mountains and beautiful natural views.

The sunsets from the pool were spectacular, and there were fresh lemons and oranges from the fruit trees on the property. The villas combined comfort with lovely scenery. The service was thoughtful, the rooms were clean, and the beds were great. A perfect base for exploring the region.
