Hotel Val Flores

There’s no breakfast, but this one star hotel suited what we needed as a bike friendly place to rest. The staff service was excellent, and the rooms were very clean and tidy, with functional showers. There’s a self service laundry and a baker two minutes away, while Lidl and Pingo Doce are about an eight minute walk.

For a one star place, this was above the usual standard. The accommodation was simple, clean, and comfortable, and the staff greeted us so nicely and were very helpful. It’s on a main road, so there’s traffic noise, but that’s what earplugs are for!

The staff were helpful and nice, and I quite liked the hotel. My room was pleasant but small, as was the bath. Breakfast was okay, and at least it came with the price. I could hear people walking along the corridors from inside the room. There’s no smoking area, so you have to go all the way down to the street, or you’ll be charged for smoking in your room.

The location was great for finding food and getting information about the area. Both the evening host and the morning host were helpful, and the morning host pointed me in the right direction for starting out in Tui. A very pleasant place to stay. I’d highly recommend it.
