The little pool and solarium are there for relaxing if you don't feel like going to the beaches. The house itself is granite, decorated with refined taste, and the furniture and fabrics show real care. The rooms are clean and smell brand new. The owners serve breakfast themselves, fit for royalty, using their own produce: fig, orange, and currant jams, strawberries, avocados, seasonal fruit and berries, plus breads and pastries baked fresh that morning. It's a peaceful family home with a warm welcome and impeccable hospitality. The owners are charming and very polite. The travelers and tourists who stay here are respectful and well-mannered, and you won't hear raised voices or annoying noise from neighbors. The house is on the Portuguese coast of the Camino de Santiago, so pilgrims from all over the world pass through at all hours. They choose this route for its cooler summers and Atlantic breeze. The cobblestone street winds between small farms with summer cottages, and isn't suitable for wheels or high heels. Afife is charming too, with a hidden tropical microclimate close to the coast and under large stretches of forest. Highly recommended for respectful, discerning guests.

Our stay on the camino da costa was peaceful and relaxing, and the house was extremely quiet and clean. The hosts are lovely people. Congratulations to them.
