At 45 euros, this place felt nowhere near worth the price. I’ve paid 15 euros for places of this kind elsewhere. It’s a converted gym, not a hostel, and it was smelly and uncomfortable. There was only one power outlet for charging staff, no bedside tables, and the bed was very narrow. The room had seven sleeping places, even though Booking said six. The broken shower sprayed water everywhere and was barely usable. My worst experience in Portugal.

The kitchen is spacious, while the rooms are on the small side. They were clean, as was the bathroom, and there was no musty smell. The hotel itself could use some renovation.

The room downstairs had a bad smell, and I couldn't open the windows because they face straight onto the street. They were meant to give me the key for the EiFi device, but I'm still waiting for it. Apart from that, it was fine.

The owner gave us an excellent welcome, and the location is perfect. It was an interesting stay in an old house that's been very well looked after.

A good experience. The house was clean and ready for a few enjoyable days.
