Quinta do Bento Novo

Fourteen of us, along with four little dogs, spent a week at Quinta do Bento Novo and had a wonderful time. The house and outdoor areas are both great, and it has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The owners are very kind and quickly and efficiently sort out anything that comes up. Thank you for everything.

We spent a weekend here with the whole family since there are too many of us to gather at home. The house is ideal for renting as a whole: the owners are charming and live nearby, but not in the house. It’s fully equipped, close to everything but tucked away, with options for a barbecue outside under cover or inside by the fireplace. The garden is dreamy, with birdsong in the morning and a stone pond where kids and adults can swim. The beds were so comfortable I couldn’t get up early any day. It really felt like paradise. The North of Portugal around here is wonderful too, with walks, wine and plenty of fish.

We had such a good weekend here with our family of 20. The houses were well equipped, beautifully decorated, and felt like home. The grounds were lovely and well cared for, with fresh air and lots of nature. We enjoyed family barbecues, and even picked chestnuts to roast right there 😍. There’s plenty of space for a walk in the late afternoon. A very friendly, attentive woman served us a wonderful breakfast, including local honey and pumpkin and tomato jams. I’d highly recommend this lovely quinta for resting and enjoying the surroundings. The owners have done a great job with the property. Thank you.

No noise at all, making it great for groups and big families. The place has a special charm, feels cozy and clean, and is surrounded by wild nature and fruit trees. There’s a playground for kids, good paths for long walks, or you can simply relax. We had a phenomenal weekend without needing to leave the house.
