Hotel Santa Clara

I came away pleasantly surprised. The welcome was warm, and my well-kept room had a little balcony facing the garden. The interior is all tile and marble. There are endless corridors, but the room itself was a good size, with a small fridge in the corner. The bathroom was well equipped with both a bath and shower. Wi-Fi was fast and stable enough to stream video. My only minor gripe was the noise from the heating and ventilation unit, so I switched it off and went without, as I usually do everywhere. The buffet breakfast had plenty on offer and was very good value. There isn't a restaurant, though there are plenty of places to eat nearby, plus a good supermarket about a five-minute walk away that's open every day, all day. A very good short stay. There are only a few ground-floor rooms next to the garden. If getting around is difficult for you, you may want to ask for one, since there is no lift to the other rooms.

The hotel is simple and pleasant, but the thing we liked most was how friendly and helpful the staff were. Brito stood out in particular, though everyone was lovely and ready to help.

An average, okay hotel. If you're staying for work, it's reasonably priced and comfortable enough. The receptionist Andre was friendly and made us feel at home.

Breakfast was fantastic, with lots to choose from, and the best I've had in alentejo. The staff were cooperative too. It's a nice place to sleep, and the whole experience was great. The AC is a bit old. 👍🤝 Recommended.
