The biggest issue for me was the lack of staff around when I needed help. There was a broken light in the room, the bathroom soap was watery and ran out right away, and I needed first aid but couldn't find anyone. Breakfast could also have had more choice. Still, the houses are cozy, the views are stunning, and the peaceful, mountain-house setting with a pool is a lovely place to rest.

This is a charming, isolated place that suits a relaxing weekend, but the bed made the stay really uncomfortable. The mattress and pillows were awful, and even after two days my back and neck were still in severe pain. Hand soap and room rugs were missing too. There are little details like these that let down a place with so much promise. What a missed opportunity.

We really liked the staff, especially Mrs Sónia, and the breakfast was included in the price. It's a lovely spot to get away for a few days, with a pool that's a must on warm summer days and beautiful Serra do Gerês a short drive away. The rooms are comfortable, well-preserved old stone buildings, and the setting is amazing.

A really peaceful place and a great stay. The only downside was the shower: it's far too small for a larger person to bathe comfortably.
