Charming Blue

The staff made our stay at the Charming Blue Hotel memorable. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. Our room was comfortable and well equipped, breakfast was very good, and there’s a beautiful pool at the back. The restaurant is lovely too, and we highly recommend eating there. If you want a central boutique hotel, I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The hotel restaurant was good too, and its spot on the village’s main street puts several cafes and restaurants nearby. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the harbor, though the uphill trip back takes 15 minutes. Our room was clean and spacious, with a shared balcony overlooking the pool. Breakfast covers most basics and is simple. The name fits, and the staff are very friendly and helpful, but don’t expect the Ritz.

From the breakfast and room to the service and hospitality, everything was splendid. I can’t understand why this place has only 4,5 stars. 200% recommend.

The people of Santa Maria were some of the friendliest we’ve met on any vacation. At the hotel, the staff were the friendliest we’ve ever dealt with. They helped recover a bag we lost on a flight, suggested lunch spots on most days, and booked an early taxi when we needed one. Since we’d be leaving before breakfast opened, they prepared breakfast the night before. The pool, restaurant, and room were all great. It’s right in the middle of town, with easy drives to the beaches and most restaurants within walking distance.
