Olive Boutique Guesthouse

My wife and I were on the island for a wedding and stayed two nights. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Check-in and communication were seamless, and the place itself impressed us. There was clearly a lot of thought in the design. It was clean, simple and quiet, and the pool was sexy. The location is central, with several excellent local cafés and shops within walking distance. Breakfast was legit. Staff were very helpful too, and even offered to iron our wedding clothes when we realized there was no iron in the room. I can’t think of any downsides. Definitely a hidden gem. Simple advice: book it!

My wife and I had an unbelievably good stay at The Olive Boutique. The women running the place were friendly and supportive, and the breakfasts were delicious. Our room was always clean, had air conditioning and smelled nice. The USB charging ports were a huge plus. The beach is a five-minute walk away, with plenty of shops, grocery stores and restaurants nearby. Public transit is a two-minute walk if you want to explore the rest of the island. I’d definitely come back.

They were quick to bring a kettle for my evening tea, and beach towels when we needed them on our last day. The service was superb, the hotel was cozy and really clean, and we loved staying there. Breakfast was great too, with plenty of cereals, yoghurt, coffee and jams, plus omelettes they cook for you. Thanks so much. If we come back to Sao Miguel, this will be my pick.

We spent a week here and really enjoyed it. The town is small and very quiet, which suited us perfectly, and it was nice to relax by the pool after a day out. The rooms were clean and a good size, with daily cleaning. Breakfast was lovely, and the ladies serving it were so warm and caring. Such a little gem.
