Praia da Lota Resort - Apartments

Even out of season, we really enjoyed the relaxed feel here, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The accommodation was perfect for our four-night stay, with everything we needed. There’s a private beach reached by a wooden path. We'd definitely come back.

Handy for families with young kids, with the beach just a five-minute walk away. The apartments are nice, and there’s a lovely pool and cafeteria. A great spot to unwind.

The location is fairly good and close to the beach, though a bit far from the town center if you want to eat out or visit the market. Our rooms were spacious, but we paid 300 a night in high season for a family apartment, so we expected more. The place felt very dated and wasn't especially well maintained. The bedroom A/C units smelled so bad we couldn't use them. There were no sponges or detergent provided, unlike at the other places we stayed with the same setup. And our “fully equipped” kitchen didn't even have a coffee machine. Staff weren't especially friendly, and breakfast was only okay, getting repetitive after a couple of days. Off-season deals may be reasonably priced, but for us this was too expensive for what it is.

A quiet holiday spot, with the beach just five minutes away. The rooms are tidy and organized. It's old school rather than modern, which I actually prefer for a three-star hotel. They serve lovely proper Portuguese food. I'd highly recommend it if you want peace and quiet, and I'd definitely come back if I get the chance.
