João was quick to answer our questions throughout the stay, and helped us out when our early flight and bus meant we arrived ahead of time. He let us leave our bags early. The location worked really well, with the train station close by for trips to Aveiro or the coastal beaches. It’s also about a 10-minute walk downhill to the river. There’s free parking around the corner, which was handy when my partner visited. And the pizzeria next door is well worth a try, with lovely staff, fair prices, and delicious food.

The host was so friendly and even called to wake me up so I wouldn’t miss my flight. Nearby, there are plenty of port wine cellars, pubs, and restaurants within walking distance, including by the riverside. The apartment was great, with a super-comfy bed. Honestly, it was nicer than my flat in NYC. I’d gladly stay again and recommend it.

João was really helpful, and the neighbourhood itself is lovely, with plenty of nice bars and restaurants. It’s easy to walk into town or take a train farther out. Everything went well, and we loved the apartment :)
