Douro River Apartments

Paula was lovely. She met us herself late at night, left a bottle of good wine for us, and shared lots of helpful tips. The apartment sits right in the middle of everything, with amazing views in every direction and everything nearby. It’s hard to imagine a better spot here. The place is small, but it has everything you’d need while travelling. The bathroom is especially tight, and at two metres tall I didn’t always find it easy to use. I’d recommend it.

The apartment is right among the port houses, and there’s a great atmosphere around it. We kept the windows shut because of outdoor noise, but it was still quiet and dark enough to sleep well. The air conditioning was a real plus on the very hot days. Paula greeted us outside the door right on time, and she was quick and easy to communicate with. The place was spotless, and the view was even more beautiful than the one from across the Douro. We really enjoyed staying there and would recommend it.

The front apartments look out over the river and city, a really inspiring view. It’s comfortable and well equipped, and the host gave us a warm welcome. You can tell how much they love this city.

The location was fantastic, and the place and host were lovely. It can get a little noisy because of where it is, but that didn’t bother us. Best Airbnb experience we could’ve asked for.
