Hilton Porto Gaia

The team gave me a warm welcome and professional service throughout my fantastic stay at Hilton Porto Gaia. Alice and Patricia deserve special thanks for their kindness and attention to detail. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and varied each morning, and the modern, relaxing spa was a great place to unwind after sightseeing. My spacious, well-equipped room was beautifully designed and comfortable. Hilton Porto Gaia also makes a great base for exploring both Gaia and Porto, with an excellent location and stunning views over the city and the Douro River. I'd be delighted to return and highly recommend it.

Even after checkout, the hotel kept our bags safe so we could still go out for a boat ride. The concierges were really helpful and knew lots of gluten-friendly places to eat around the city. Breakfast for someone with a gluten allergy was the best I've ever had, and the room was incredible. The pool and spa had a lovely atmosphere and worked well for both our older teens and younger child.

Jorge at the front desk made a difficult change of plans feel much better. Our original hotel, Rebello, closed because of flooding, so we arrived at Hilton Porto Gaia as unexpected transfer guests on February 16. He was warm, attentive, and took time to talk with us. He noticed it was both my husband's and my birthday week and added a thoughtful personal touch that made the stay feel special. We felt well looked after, and his professionalism and kindness made a real difference to our trip. We're grateful and would happily come back. Thank you, Jorge.

The rooms were excellent, and the blackout curtains shut out every bit of light, ideal for jet lag or light sleepers. My brother and sister-in-law got a duplex suite, and Carolina adjusted my booking to add a bed for my other brother. Before we arrived, Andre and Carolina were quick to respond. The breakfast spread was generous and tasty, and I've turned three people into pastel de nata fans. We also enjoyed unwinding in the executive lounge, with a nice range of happy hour treats. The location made it easy to walk to the teleferico for Jardim do Morro, €7 one way or €10 round trip, though it stops running at 1800. I already reviewed Cusco Bar, where the staff, food, and drinks were top tier. The hotel itself made a big impression on all of us. I hadn't even checked out when I wrote this, but I couldn't have picked a better place for my special birthday with my siblings. Jorge Costa at the front desk was the MAN, with great service and even a birthday hug. We now greet each other that way in the morning. After birthday dinner, I found a note from Guest Relations manager Patricia Ribeiro, sparkling wine, and a lovely dessert. Muito obrigada Hilton Porto Gaia for the warmth. My siblings also noticed how warm the tripeiros are. Força Porto and Hilton Porto Gaia!!!
