A private house steeped in history, and a fine example of an aristocratic manor. It’s a real asset to the historic village of Lanheses.

The head of the house is gracious and welcoming in his family home. Children under 60 kilos can take guided rides on Shetland ponies, with larger ponies available for bigger children. The place has a lovely mix of country living and old elegance, and nearby cities are close enough to visit while the setting still feels peaceful and rural.

Paco de Lanheses was a peaceful haven for my family for a week. It’s full of history and character, and the hosts are lovely. Really family friendly, and such a hidden gem.
