Take a look at the photos: there was an invasion of ants. The place also had a strong damp smell, at a level that could be dangerous for health. Anyone with asthma should stay away. There was no cleaning at all. It’s shameful to offer a place like this, and I hope the health authorities take a look. The pictures in the listing don’t match the reality at all. Scam!

The rooms were nice enough, but the cleaners came in long after check-in time without knocking. This is a staffless setup. Their official luggage storage is about a 30-minute walk away. Luckily, there’s another one in a local car park just seven minutes away, but they don’t mention it. Google helps.

The coded entry made arrival easy, and the location worked well for both the wineries and the city center. We also appreciated finding wine, biscuits, tea, and coffee for breakfast. But the supplies felt far too limited for the number of nights we booked. There was no one available when we needed another towel, ran out of coffee, or wanted to report an issue. The door asked us to report problems right away and listed a phone number, an email that didn’t work, and a Booking.com email address. As foreigners, we wrote to say the sink drain wasn’t working and that we’d found a burn on an armchair, so it wouldn’t be blamed on us. We also asked for fresh towels. They got back to us two days later, after we’d left, asking for photos of the burn, telling us to remove the sink plug (!?!), and saying towels could be brought over for an extra charge. There’s too much distance between the owner and the guests, and the value for money was terrible. Three stars, okay, but it could have been better with a little more.

The apartment was so dirty that we couldn’t make full use of it. The price isn’t especially low for the service we received, and at this price there are much better options. I wouldn’t recommend it at all. From what I’ve now seen on Google, these issues happen repeatedly. If they still haven’t been fixed, I can only think the owner has little interest in the guests and cares only about the money. This service doesn’t represent the Portuguese people or the city of Porto. I absolutely do not recommend it.
