The best parts were the location, the helpful staff, and the food. Breakfast was worth having, especially being able to squeeze fresh orange juice yourself. Still, I’d call this a three-star place rather than a four-star one. We booked at the last minute after changing plans and got a three-bedroom apartment outside the hotel, entered from the neighboring road. The property feels old, and both the room and bathroom need renovation. There were flies in the apartment in the evening, though shutting the door kept them out of the room.

Our room was clean, comfortable, spacious, and had a pleasant balcony. The lobby had a bit of a parking-garage atmosphere, and breakfast was only average for variety, but the restaurant view more than made up for that. Staff were generally helpful. We enjoyed our one-night stay, especially given the good value and fantastic location.

We planned on two nights and wound up staying five. The staff are wonderful, always friendly, honest, and helpful, just what you’d expect from a four-star hotel. There’s a lovely fire burning, and the food is plentiful with good value for the quality. Personally, I’d only turn on the TV for a big event involving Portugal. Nobody seemed interested in watching it. When you’re on holiday, it’s nice to take a break from the daily horrors; anyone who still wants to see all that misery can do so in their room. Sitting together and watching the flames feels much healthier. Thanks to the great staff. I’ll definitely be back.

I really enjoyed the lunch buffet. There was a nice range of dishes, and I liked everything I tried. The starters and dessert are worth recommending too.

Natalia at reception was fantastic when we stayed on Nov. 16, 2025. She helped resolve a reservation problem and sort things out with our luggage transfer company. Our room was nice, with a private jacuzzi outside in front of it. Breakfast was excellent, especially the fresh orange juice you could watch being squeezed.
