Quinta da Boavista - Duna Parque Group

For 180 a night, the room felt overpriced. It was tiny, with barely enough space to move around. The staff were very friendly, though, and the garden area was great. The kids loved the trampoline, and there’s also a pool, outdoor tables, and an animal farm. It’s a shame feeding time is only from 9:00-9:30.

The breakfast has a good selection of hot and cold food for this kind of property, but guests have to carry their used dishes and cutlery to a tray. I’ve never had to do that anywhere else, especially at a place that isn’t exactly cheap. You also have to put the sunbeds back after using them. The pool is large, but the water was cloudy and full of insects and debris, so I didn’t feel like using it much. The children’s pool was crystal clear, though it had bugs too. The facilities are good and the location is convenient. There’s a charcoal grill available, but you have to bring everything for it yourself. The hosts weren’t the warmest, but they were around if anything was needed.

I was only waiting for someone there, not staying overnight, but the staff were friendly and gave me some useful insights in conversation. The cafe and restaurant area was bright, clean, and comfortable. Worth a visit if you want a little break from the usual.

Eduardo and his wife made us feel welcome and did a great job looking after us. The rooms and whole property were clean and nicely decorated, with everything we needed for a relaxed beach holiday. The place is in a lovely town, a little away from the main tourist routes. It’s also handy that they work with Alentejo Surf Camp, just across the street.
