You can cook a little something there, and there are lovely walks through nature. It’s a really quiet spot away from the crowds, just right for a few peaceful days. The hosts are around, but you hardly notice them.

The homemade breakfast, served with a view across the whole quinta and little animals nearby, was a real treat. Ninho da Poupa is such a peaceful, welcoming place, surrounded by nature, with a stunning 360° view. Everything indoors and outside was clean, and Sra Catarina and Sr Bernard were warm throughout our stay and flexible when needed. We had an unforgettable weekend and would love to come back. It’s a lovely choice if you’re after quiet and rest. See you soon!
We loved spending six days with our two children, aged 8 and 10, in the Alentejo countryside. There were hikes, a visit to Serpa, and plenty of pool time, along with thoughtful conversations with Bernard and Catarina and their adorable dog, Chichi. This was one of the highlights of our many travels, and being with them really brought our travel philosophy to life. The rooms were comfortable, the showers spacious, and the house well equipped and insulated. Even in mid-July, the heat never bothered us. We highly recommend Ninho da Poupa, especially Catarina's delicious breakfasts.
The sunsets were fabulous, and the grounds felt immense. We also enjoyed the pool and the very spacious house. Catarina and Bernard made us feel incredibly welcome, and were kind and available throughout. Breakfast was delicious, with homemade products. This countryside guesthouse is a stop in Alentejo that's well worth making.
There’s art, good taste, and so much peace here. You can see the owners’ 30 years of work in preserving Alentejo’s tree species, building a rich organic agriculture, and keeping honey production controlled. It’s a very laid-back place. Xixi, Mel, and Tequila were eager to give and receive affection. Xixi joined us on a walk along the reservoirs, full of energy we hadn’t seen in her before. She led the way even in the hottest part of the day, then followed behind on the return since we knew the route. She still insisted on getting into the water to cool off.
