The place went beyond what I expected, with a spotless house, really kind staff and very friendly animals 🤍. It feels like a perfect little spot in the middle of nowhere. The distance from town and the coast was outside my comfort zone, but a very quick taxi ride sorted that out. I loved staying here and hope to come back for longer.

A place for anyone who wants some rest and would rather get away from the noise of urban life, which is best avoided. The Alentejo breakfast bag gets your appetite going before you watch birds around the lake, or head out with the friendly dogs Ruca and Branquinha. Later, take a bike between the field walls and sandy stretches, photographing storks, cows and lapwings. Leave time to notice and learn about the plants, insects and shrubs that support life here. In the evening, enjoy the warmth of the schist and read a few pages of a good book.

Our T1 had what we needed to cook if we wanted, and the breakfast left at the door in the morning was a great idea. There was plenty of food, and no need to stick to a schedule. The pool area is quiet and pleasant, and our dog could wander around freely. The location also makes it easy to reach Zambujeira, Porto Covo, Almograva, Azenha do Mar and Vila Nova de Mil Fontes, all just a few minutes away. The one downside was the farm dogs barking at night right beside the bedroom window. If you're a light sleeper, that can be hard.
