We had a really good time here, and the staff were friendly and quick to help. The food was amazing, and the island setting has a lot of potential. It’s rustic, which might not suit everyone, and the price felt a little high for the overall quality. Our room needed maintenance and a proper deep clean, and the resort could use some on-site management.

Loved Palau’s nature. Such an amazing place.

The sunset canoe ride was beautiful, and later the boat ride back was something else: glowing algae on both sides, flying fish nearby, and even a stop to look at the stars. Touching the water made it light up, like a scene from Life of Pi. Earlier, we’d joined the Stone Money Island Adventure tour, with paddleboarding, canoeing, and a jungle trek, plus a delicious lunch. The staff were so welcoming we felt at home. We relaxed in a hammock with the view, and some sweet, well-behaved puppies came over to play. After resting, we snorkeled at a small drop-off. We were the only ones there, so we could take our time without being disturbed. Our instructor was great, a handsome Ukrainian guy. Back on the island, we had a beach barbecue with lots of different ingredients, including crabs they’d caught for us to cook. The island is gorgeous, and the rooms have a really unusual feel. The honeymoon suite even has a cave, like a bridal chamber. I wish we could have stayed a few days.

We saw fireflies, glowing fish and plankton, bat burrows, and an incredible starry sky on this night kayaking trip. It felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and there was hardly anyone around, so we could enjoy it at our own pace. The local guide only speaks English, and it cost about $10 more than IMPAC or Berau. I can’t speak for the other night tours, but this one was great and I’d recommend it.
