The outdoor space at Nómada hostel was magical, with hummingbirds, cats, and plenty of other winged creatures to watch. The staff were incredible, the whole place was so clean, and our room was stunning, with high ceilings and a comfy bed. Check-in was seamless, and we loved having a well-equipped kitchen and someone around to help. It felt like a haven where we could relax and feel cared for. We’d have stayed longer if we hadn’t already had plans. One thing to know about the laundry service: it’s fantastic, but you need to separate your colours. We didn’t realize and wrongly assumed that was included, so all my white clothes turned pink. That was my mistake, but hopefully this saves someone else the same trouble.

I felt so good here that I extended my stay quite a bit. The garden is beautiful, the atmosphere is great, and the staff are super helpful. Best hostel ever, highly recommended!

I love coming back to this hostel whenever I’m in Asuncion. There are still lots of familiar faces from last time, and the garden is great. I also love making Asado out back!

We stayed in a private room, which was clean and excellent, with a comfy bed and hot shower. When we asked, they brought us an extra pillow. The staff are lovely, and it’s about a quick 10 minute walk to the historic centre. The atmosphere is relaxed, with a communal area, a small bar for evening drinks, and a separate indoor space for working. The WiFi was excellent. Laundry is available for around 30,000 Paraguayan Guarani, about £3 at the time I wrote this, and they wash and tumble dry your clothes. This was one of the best hostels I stayed at during 10 months of backpacking. I’d highly recommend it to anyone staying in Asuncion!

A relaxing garden with a pool, clean rooms, and privacy curtains on the comfy beds made my stay at Nómada Hostel really enjoyable. The staff were super friendly and there’s a great social vibe. A perfect spot for backpackers in Asunción.
